An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join the team at a fantastic company based in Prudhoe.

Training to be provided:

You will work towards a Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Warehouse and Storage with Gateshead College and functional skills Maths, English and IT, if required

Expected course duration: 12 months

Number of hours: 42.5 hours

Working pattern: Monday - Friday 9am to 5.30pm with 45 minute lunch (15 min breaks x 2 - 11am and 3:30pm)

Salary: £212.50 per week

Job description:

Duties to include:

  • Responsible for the accurate picking and packing of customer orders to ensure efficient despatch of goods

  • Backing up of goods

  • Assist in other Warehousing duties – stock control, goods-in, despatching

  • Picking and packing goods from picking list for despatch

  • Preparing product for picking & packing

  • Loading goods for despatch

  • Assisting with booking in deliveries

  • Updating internal and external systems with despatch details

  • Input data regarding stock and inventory into systems

  • Keep accurate stock counts

  • Store goods appropriately in correct locations

  • Check for damaged / missing items upon receipt

  • Move stock by hand or with machines

  • Handle any hazardous materials in appropriate manner

  • Cleaning and maintaining the warehouse

  • Maintain high levels of H&S standards

  • Ensure use of PPE required

  • Flexible and open to new working processes and procedures

  • Other reasonable requests communicated through Manager(s)
