An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join the team at a fantastic company providing approved Land Rover aftercare.

Training to be provided:

  • You will work towards a Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Warehouse and Storage with Gateshead College

  • Functional skills Maths, English and IT, if required

  • Employment Rights and Responsibilities

  • Personal Learning and Thinking Skills

    Expected course duration: 12 months

    Number of hours: 39.5 hours per week

    Working pattern: 8.30am until 5pm – Monday to Thursday 8.30am until 4.30pm - Friday ½ hour lunch break

    Salary:£158.00 per week

    Job description:

    Reporting to the Stores Supervisor the successful candidate will ensure:

  • Goods in assistant – you will be required to receive and book in items to stock

  • Stock control assistant – you will be required to undertake stock control activities

  • Job progress – you will work across the company in progressing parts from machines centres and across assembly as required

  • Loading and unloading goods

  • Complete and check paperwork to ensure they tally with incoming and outgoing orders

  • Alert manager to any incoming or outgoing discrepancies

  • Prepare goods for dispatch

  • Move parts and goods within factory and stores and ensure they are stored correctly

  • Use of an IT system for operations including receipting of goods, picking, taking receipt and dispatching sub-contracted parts

  • Responsibility for quality and stock management

  • Ensure orders are picked and kitted correctly in accordance with the Company procedures

  • Ensure all despatches are checked properly in accordance with the internal procedures

  • Ensure all stock discrepancies and incorrect location forms are completed immediately in accordance with the internal procedures

  • To work in a team towards set targets
